Abstract
Language is part of the prevailing culture of a society. It was in the seventies (70’s) when words like erap and nosibalasi prevailed. In the time of Generation Z, such language made a return because of millennial words, hugot lines and codes of technology that have become part of communication. The main purpose of the study is to produce a glossary of tadbaliks (inverted words) in Filipino. Using a developmental approach, the researchers gathered tadbaliks words used by selected high school students in Facebook. The researchers analyzed the form and interpreted the words based on the context of the documented conversations. From this, a glossary of tadbaliks being used in Facebook was developed. It was proven that in the development of the glossary, it is important that the interpretation of tadbaliks words is based on the context of social media and the people who use it. The study recommends using the developed glossary as a reference in teaching lessons in Filipino and other related disciplines.
