In view of the recent inclusion of The Normal Lights (TNL) to the ASEAN CITATION INDEX (ACI) database on November 14, 2017, President Ogena approves the elevation of TNL to “international status” in an Executive Committee meeting held on December 1, 2017. All faculty publications in the said journal from December 2017 onwards will be categorized as “international” with corresponding faculty research publication incentive of Twenty-Five Thousand (Php 25,000.00) pesos (BOR No. U-2088, s. 2014).
