During the 21st Meeting of Presidents held on July 1, 2026, in Cebu City, Philippines, the ASEAN Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) approved the membership applications of four higher education institutions, marking another milestone in the Network’s continued expansion across the region.
The newly admitted member institutions are Hanoi National University of Education (Vietnam), Cebu Normal University, Leyte Normal University, and West Visayas State University (Philippines).
The addition of these institutions strengthens AsTEN’s regional partnerships and broadens opportunities for collaboration in teacher education, research, faculty and student engagement, and knowledge exchange across ASEAN. Their membership reflects the Network’s continuing commitment to fostering excellence and cooperation among teacher education institutions in the region.
