About the Journal
PAGHABI: Journal of Global Citizenship Education Research and Practice is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Philippine Normal University through the GCED Cooperation Centre Philippines. The journal publishes original research, theoretical analyses, and evidence-based practices that advance scholarship in Global Citizenship Education (GCED) and related fields. PAGHABI serves as an academic platform for documenting and critically examining educational initiatives that cultivate global awareness, respect for diversity, civic engagement, peacebuilding, and sustainable development in education systems. The journal aims to bridge research and practice by disseminating studies that demonstrate how GCED can be integrated across instruction, research, extension, policy development, and institutional governance in higher education and basic education contexts.

Access and Publishing Model
PAGHABI uses an open-access publishing model using Open Journal Systems (OJS) to ensure free and global access to scholarly work on Global Citizenship Education. OJS is an open-source journal management system developed by the Public Knowledge Project, supporting transparent editorial workflows and digital archiving.
